Established in 1991 by the Kirloskar Group in Harihar, the Kirloskar Institute of Management was founded on the visionary ideals of Mr. Shantanurao Laxmanrao Kirloskar, a luminary in the Indian industry. KIM was initially dedicated to fostering managerial and organizational excellence within the Kirloskar Group and other enterprises.
In 1998, the institute expanded its purview by introducing a two-year fully residential PGDM program in Harihar, aimed at nurturing the leadership capabilities of young, talented individuals. Bolstered by the accomplishments of its alumni, KIM established its second campus in Pune in 2010, both of which are accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
At KIM, we believe we have the ability to create pioneers in different fields that can empower companies and the country at large. The Kirloskar Institute of Management serves as the home for cultivating such leaders through its innovative approach to management education and a rich legacy of its own leadership experience.
