Prof. (Dr.) Sridhar Vaithianathan is a distinguished academic leader, researcher, and institution builder with over 24 years of experience in higher education and analytics-driven management education. He currently serves as Director & Professor (Analytics) at the Kirloskar Institute of Management.

An accomplished scholar with a PhD in Management, Dr. Vaithianathan specializes in Business Analytics, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Technology Adoption, and Sports Analytics. He has demonstrated strong leadership in designing and restructuring industry-relevant MBA and PGDM programs, integrating AI and analytics into curriculum frameworks, and strengthening academic governance and accreditation processes.

Previously, he served as Director of the Centre of Excellence in Analytics & Data Science at SVKM’s NMIMS, where he successfully re-engineered the MBA (Business Analytics) program,leading it to national recognition and top rankings. Under his leadership, the program achieved 100% placements, significant growth in average salaries, and substantial expansion in student intake.

Dr. Vaithianathan has published extensively in ABDC-ranked journals, presented at leading international conferences, and edited books in the domain of analytics and sports management. Known for his structured thinking, process orientation, and collaborative leadership style, he continues to foster strong industry–academia partnerships while advancing research and innovation in analytics and AI-enabled education.
